Workplace accident insurance

As an employer, you are responsible for your staff:

• If one of your employees has an accident during working hours, you as the employer are responsible to compensate his or her physical damage, loss of wages, etc….
• Accidents on the way to or from work also fall under this regulation in most cases.

In order to protect employees, the legislator has made it compulsory for every employer to take out industrial accidents insurance.

In exchange, you get ‘protection’ as an employer against direct damage claims from your employees. They must always turn to the insurer for compensation.

Tip: If you are thinking of recruiting staff, know that they must be covered by Workplace Accident Insurance from the date they take office.
